Dr Tanya Augustine and Josephine Dolan-Dufourd (Occupational Therapist) are delighted to invite you to join us in spending the day with us exploring mindfulness and/or mindful self-compassion practices, an opportunity to fall awake.
Tanya and Josephine have many years experience of working within the NHS mental health services. They undertook their mindfulness training with Bangor University. They have been meditating for many years continuing their passion and intrigue for the way in which mindfulness can positively influence their days to lives, relationships and understanding of themselves. Having taught the Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy course together in London many times they are looking forward to reuniting for this weekend retreat with Josephine coming from France especially for this weekend.
Both days work as stand alone sessions though you’ll get the most benefit from attending both sessions, the first day providing the groundwork for the second and the teachings informing each other. Day 1 will begin with an introduction to the practices and an opportunity to ask questions before falling into silence for the practices, we will close the day with an opportunity for reflection and discussion. Day 2 will involve some pair and small group discussion.
Whilst all are welcome to attend it is worth noting there are certain conditions and circumstances where mindfulness practice may not be helpful. If you have recently experienced a major life event, or face significant challenges with your physical or mental health this may impact on the suitability of the teachings. A short health questionnaire will be sent to you prior to payment to ensure you can make the most out of the retreat.

Cancellations made 14 days prior to the retreat will receive a 50% refund. After this date unfortunately no refund can be made.
Please wear comfortable loose clothing and bring your lunch with you. Chairs will be provided and we will have a few mats, we ask that if you have your own that you bring it with you, along with any additional requirements for your own comfort.
