Strengthening Families and Communities

Tuesday 13th November 2012 - Saturday 1st December 2012, 22:00-02:00

Free

We hosted a series of free workshops organised by RAA (Reach Aspire Achieve):

  • ‘Strengthening Families and Communities’
  •  ‘exploring relationships’
  • ‘drug and self harm awareness’

RAA’s aim is to support, offer guidance and positively promote British  African-Caribbean culture. Whilst doing this diminish and in time eliminate negative stereotypes and perceptions thus increasing social cohesion and enhancing the quality of life for all people.

They play an important role liaising between established authority organisations and the younger generation andensure that they are equipped to take their place in society with self respect and respect for those in the community. This learning process extends to older family members so that they in turn can support the young people.
