Ann Hinchley

I will provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to share and explore your thoughts within a strong therapeutic relationship. I have an integrative approach which I tailor to your individual needs…At the heart of therapy is an empathic, honest relationship between you and the counsellor to guide you through with the purpose of alleviating distress and rekindling a sense of hope.

Who I Am

I’m an Integrative Counsellor who is accredited with the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and I abide by their Code of Ethics.

I began training in 2009 in Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapeutic Counselling skills and have since completed my Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling at U.E.A.

My approach is an integrative, multi-model one which includes mostly person-centred and psychodynamic therapy. I tailor my approach to each individual and their needs as they develop.

My specialist areas of interest are people or families of people who have learning disabilities & anxiety. I will support you by providing an environment where your feelings will be respected, without judgement, enabling you to feel listened to and understood. Psychotherapy can help you gain a better understanding of what you are going through, helping you to feel less distressed and more able to see where changes could be made to enhance your life.

Sessions are £30 for an hour, usually weekly initially. Some concessions for students or those on low income. Sessions are usually on the same day at the same time each week, although this can be flexible if needed. I work from The Norwich Wellbeing Centre.
