90 minutes of Yoga & meditation + complimentary slice of healthy-ish cake = the best way to start your weekend
A 90 minute class (yoga & meditation) inspired by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi’s well-known book called Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience. Like Csikszentmihalyi, Vinyasa Yoga believes in the power of finding your flow, on the mat and in life. His book asks and proposes answers to questions such as: What is it that absorbs you? When do you feel in the groove? And how do you get in the zone? And Yoga offers a way to explore these ideas by synchronising the physical postures with the breath to achieve a sense of calmness and clarity in your mind, which in turn allows you to think more clearly and be more truly who you really are. Csikszentmihalyi believes that when you are truly absorbed and engaged in an activity your ego falls away, and this leaves room for positivity, happiness and a sense of fulfilment. And what’s more, there are so many benefits to allowing yourself to ‘go with the flow’ rather than always fighting a battle that isn’t worth winning. Expect to start with sweat-encouraging sequences, fun & flowing standing postures, and a peaceful & restful series of gentle postures to end.
That will be a surprise but will definitely involve healthy ingredients and a yummy flavour. Balance is really important in life (!) so you will all have something to celebrate completion of the class, and start of weekend, LOL!
