A new six week Physioflow yoga course is running from Wednesday 7th January to 11th February, from 6:15 – 7:30pm, led by Rosie Taylor. This class is for people who want to enhance their fitness and address any physical injuries through yoga. It will help you feel released and uplifted, and you will be supported by physiotherapist led classes.
The class is suitable for those with a reasonable level of fitness, but beginners to yoga are welcome. The course is great for cyclists, runners, dancers or capoeiristas, musicians or those simply who have sedentary jobs. Yoga is a fantastic way to become more in touch with how your body functions, and how your physical and mental habits can impact upon any physical or mental discomforts. It is also suitable for new mums, who are getting back into exercise.
Each week we will address a different area of the physical and subtle body. We will start the classes with some breathing pranayama techniques , then lead into uplifting and heating vinyasa physioflow, followed by more restorative postures to unwind to a deep relaxation. The course will enhance your understanding of your own body, posture and how to manage injury through yoga.
The course costs £42 for all six sessions or £8 for drop-ins, and takes place at the Norwich Wellbeing Centre. Directions and a map of parking locations can be found here.
Rosie has practiced yoga for around 15 years, which first started as a complement to dance and capoeira training. She was initially attracted to the physical side of yoga but quickly found that the meditative nature of yoga had many benefits such as increasing focus, destressing and uplifting mood. She has subsequently trained as a 200 hour yoga alliance UK registered yoga teacher, as well as a pregnancy yoga teacher and baby yoga teacher (Triyoga UK).
Rosie is a also an experienced physiotherapist and combines her yoga teaching with physiotherapy techniques, deepening your practice and making yoga classes safe for all. She brings a wealth of experience to teaching yoga and body work as well as creating a fun, light and supportive atmosphere to allow yourself to relax and feel free. Rosie teaches Physioflow yoga classes , Vinyasa flow yoga and Hatha yoga. She also teaches anatomy for yoga teachers on several yoga teacher training courses in the UK, Europe and India.
When Rosie’s not helping people to do downward dogs, she enjoys playing the ukelele, occasionally jumping into a capoeira roda and swing dancing. She loves to integrate the flow of dance and music into her classes so that you leave feeling ulplifted and refreshed.
